To Columbus: -Wade Redden -Martin Havlat
To Ottawa: -Adam Foote -David Vyborny -2nd Rnd Pick 2006 -2nd Rnd Pick 2007
I don't like losing Foote, but I am experimenting here, I am trying to build a type of team that I have never built before. Redden fits the game plan, so does Havlat. The picks are to round out the obvious differences between Havlat and Vyborny. We'll see if this team works. ;D I accept.

i accept i feel i needed to add more defenseman experience on the blue line and foote fills that adding him along side big z chara. Vyborny will also be another good guy that will be on the 2nd line. The picks as well will add great future talent in ottawa.

Sorry to butt in, but... Ottawa gives up a top two defender for a top four defender, who's as near Redden's quality as Esche is of Vokouns (srsl, based on the database, he is!), except his older and on a grossly overpaid contract. You can sign Redden for less than that. As for Vyborny, he doesn't even compare to Havlat. Not even if you threw a 1st rounder in the mix, and I'd only say maybe with two 1sts. Havlat is a #1 RW on almost every team and his under 25, while Vyborny would have a tough time cracking the top six on almost all teams and dude, his like 30! ;D I'm not going to reject this, because both sides are OK with it, all I'm saying it makes no sense for Ottawa. I think your massively overrating the second round picks here, they aren't as good as people might think, not in the drafts prior to 2010/11.
